FIRED UP for a CURE is our Cancer Awareness Family Picnic and Fundraiser which allows our FDNY community an opportunity to fight cancer together and help save lives.
At this event, we aim to bring our ill members and caregivers together to send the message that they are not alone in their fight.
We provide educational materials, food, entertainment and motivational speakers. In addition to raising awareness, we aspire to raise critical funds for the organizations that assist our members when they need it most.

FDNY COMPANY VS STATION MEAL CHALLENGE
We are asking that each company and station join us in a friendly competition and donate $1 per member/per meal for the month of APRIL. At the end of the month, the donations can be sent to FDNY WTC Oncology; 9 MetroTech Center, Rm. 2E-07 – Brooklyn, NY 11201
The WINNING company/station will be presented with a trophy for all of their efforts at our Free Family Picnic on Saturday June 09, 2018 @ Fort Totten!

This tasty event is sponsored by Firehouse Kitchen. Here we will highlight the importance of healthy eating habits on cancer prevention. In honor of heart health month, complimentary cardiac screenings will be provided; as well as educational information on heart health, colon cancer screening and prevention, bladder cancer awareness, and general cancer prevention tips. Guests will enjoy a delicious lunch cooked by some of the greatest firehouse chefs.
